A clean start saves hours later. Before anyone enters a sale or a purchase, the business profile, users and opening records should be correct. This guide gives the order that works for most Zobly products. Screen names can differ slightly between products and packages.

Steps

  1. Collect your business details

Gather the legal business name, address, phone numbers, logo and any tax or registration numbers that must appear on invoices. Decide the currency and the financial year start date.

  2. Sign in and change your password

Use the login details shared by Zobly, then change the password immediately and keep it private. Use a long password that you do not use elsewhere.

  3. Complete the company profile

Enter the business name, address, logo and invoice footer text. Everything you enter here appears on printed documents, so check spelling carefully.

  4. Create branches and users

If you have more than one location, add each branch first. Then add users and give each person only the access that their job requires.

  5. Add opening records

Enter products or services, customers, suppliers and opening balances. Start with the items you use daily; you can add the rest later.

  6. Run a test entry

Create one test sale or booking, print it and confirm the totals. Delete or mark it as test before real work begins.

Tips

  • Set up one branch completely before copying the pattern to others
  • Write the admin password down once and store it safely offline
  • Take a backup after the opening records are entered

Common mistakes

  • Entering real transactions before opening balances are correct
  • Sharing one login between several people
  • Leaving the default password unchanged

Guides describe the common workflow across Zobly products. Screen names and available features depend on your product, package and configuration.
